I created this typeface for Kel Troughton's Intro to Modern Type Design workshop through the Letterform Archive/Type West. I took inspiration from the handwriting shown in the Lord of the Rings films and aimed to make a text face inspired by it. It ended up functioning as a monoweight uncial sans. I plan to add weights and potentially a slab serif version in the future.
I'd never received critique on type design work before, and it was a very informational experience. I also learned a lot from my classmates and their typefaces, and I look forward to taking more type design classes and workshops in the future.
